Day 1
Arrive at Kilimanjaro International Airport, met and transferred to Arusha for meals and overnight at The Arusha hotel or equivalent.
The Arusha Hotel newly renovated hotel is located in the centre of Arusha town close to the famed Clock Tower roundabout, which is said to be the centre point between the Cape and Cairo. The 65 rooms all of which have been elegantly decorated and the extensive gardens with a heated swimming pool make this an ideal introduction to Arusha.
Day 2
After breakfast drive to Lake Manyara National Park for game drive, meals and overnight at Lake Manyara Serena Lodge or equivalent
Lake Manyara Serena Lodge is dramatically situated on top of the Mto Wa Mbu escarpment, overlooking the vast expanse of the Great Rift Valley, the 66 rooms blend gracefully with the serene natural surroundings. The lodge is located only a few minutes from Lake Manyara National Park. For those who want some time out of their vehicles, the lodge supports a number of nature trails and will have resident naturalist to enhance the experience. Guests may also choose to relax at an observation post or by the pool.
Day 3
After breakfast drive to Serengeti National Park for game drive with picnic lunch, have dinner and overnight at Mara under canvas or equivalent Serengeti Serena Lodge is located high on a hill offering magnificent views of the Serengeti Plains, the lodge is pure Africa. Rustic and natural, circular like an African village, its 66 rooms make up a series of rondavels. The simple style is enhanced with sophisticated detail in the form of traditional handicraft, such as wood carvings, beadwork and pottery designs. The lodge offers its own unique game trails devised in conjunction with park consultants to allow enjoyment of the Serengeti’s unequalled variety of game.
Day 4
After breakfast you will have a full day game drive in Serengeti National Park, meals and overnight at Serengeti Serena Lodge or equivalent Serengeti the most famous National Park in the World, the Serengeti perhaps defines the safari experience as surely as the wildlife that inhabits it. Established in 1951, and covering an area of almost 15,000 sq km –an area comparable to the state of Connecticut or Northern Ireland, the Serengeti hosts a fantastically diverse eco-system. The famous short and long grass plains of the south slowly unfurl into the Acacia savannah of the central area, the hilly, more densely wooded areas of the north, and the extensive woodland in the western corridor, each with its own resident variations of African wildlife. The principal attraction of the Serengeti is the passing of the
wildebeest migration, 1.5 million wildebeest, and a retinue comprising of hundreds of thousands of zebra, gazelle and other plains game that follow close behind, stalked by the inevitable predators who make the most of the ‘feast’ close at hand. The Serengeti promises all that the first-time game- viewer or experienced safari-hand could ever hope to witness and it rarely, if ever, disappoints.
Day 5
After breakfast drive to Ngorongoro Conservation area game drive. Descend into the Ngorongoro Crater floor for a crater tour with picnic lunch. The crater is an island sanctuary, protected from the fluctuating weather conditions on the surrounding savanna. The big five are here: lion, elephant, rhino, leopard and buffalo, plus many of the plains herbivores, such as wildebeest, Thomson s gazelle, zebra and reedbuck, along with thousands of flamingo. Picnic lunches will be served in the
crater. Stay on the crater rim for superb views from your quarters, where glass doors open to furnished verandas with breathtaking panoramas of Ngorongoro. Dinner and overnight at Ngororongoro Serena lodge
Day 6
After breakfast drive to Arusha for lunch, after lunch transferred to Kilimanjaro International Airport for your International departure flight.
