WILDLIFE SAFARI AND ZANZIBAR

8 DAYS: WILDLIFE SAFARI IN TANZANIA MAINLAND AND ZANZIBAR HOLIDAY

DAY 1: Arrival Kilimanjaro airport

Fly to Kilimanjaro international airport and meet on arrival, transfer to Arusha city, for a city tour and visit some art galleries and Arusha Cultural Heritage for cultural Experiences. Then back to hotel in Arusha for Dinner, Bed and Breakfast.

DAY 2: Lake Manyara National Park

After breakfast, drive through to Lake Manyara National Park for a game drive. After lunch (picnic lunch) in the afternoon continue exploring this interesting National Park, where you are likely to meet tree climbing lions, elephants, waterfowls, groups of zebra and antelopes. In the evening, proceed with your safari to Karatu and spend a night in the Ngorongoro Farmhouse or equivalent.

DAY 3: Serengeti National Park

Early in the morning after breakfast, drive to Serengeti National Park to stay for the next 3 nights. You will get an awesome game experience in this place of endless plains, abundant and diverse wildlife and where to encounter the largest wildebeest migration. After game drive, you will have lunch, dinner and overnight at your luxury tented camp. Overnight at Anga’ta luxury tented camp or equivalent.

Overnight: Mbali Mbali lodge/equivalent

Day 4: Serengeti National Park

Full Day Serengeti National Park Game Drive.

Be one of only a few fortunate people to glide in a Hot Air Balloon over the Serengeti Plains (available at supplementary cost by pre arrangement). Floating silently above the awakening bush, while spotting wildlife and enjoying the amazing scenery of Africa, across rivers and over numerous small villages.

After balloon trip, continue your day with an unforgettable sunrise game drive across the Serengeti. See the sun set fire to the savannah as predators such as leopards and lions hunt for their morning meal. We do a game viewing drive in the Seronera plains which is good for
possible Lion, Thomson gazelle, topi, ostrich and cheetah sightings. The Visitor Centre close to the Serengeti Seronera Lodge and public campsites, is well worth a visit after the morning game drive. This nicely designed centre offers some interesting wildlife displays as well as a gift shop selling information leaflets and maps of the area. The centre also has a shop where cold drinks and snacks can be purchased, as well as a picnic area and information trail up and around a nearby kopje. We will enjoy a relaxed picnic lunch at the centre in the shade of the giant acacia trees.

In the afternoon we will follow the Kopjes Circuit, which goes anti-clockwise around the Maasai Kopjes, which usually attract a number of lion and some formidably large cobras. Kopjes are weathered granite outcrops, scattered around the plains, most of which are miniature
ecosystems, providing shade and drinking water in pools left in the rock after the rains. This makes the kopjes particularly good for spotting wildlife in the dry seasons – including lions, which like to lie in wait for animals coming to drink!

Overnight at your camp

Day 5: Ngororongoro Crater

This morning after breakfast you will drive to Ngorongoro Crater where you will spend a full day exploring this open and stunning intact caldera. Featuring some of the populations of hyena and other predators there is always something interesting to see and do. Drive back to Arusha city for your dinner and overnight

DAY 6: Zanzibar

Morning drive to Kilimanjaro airport for your flight to Zanzibar. Meet on arrival and transferred to either Madinat Al Bahr Hotel/equivalent  where you will relax and/or experience some true island life.

DAY 7: Stone Town-Safari Blue adventure then Move to East Coast Beach Hotel

After an early breakfast, you will check-out from Stone Town hotel at around 07h30 you will be picked up by our driver guide and transferred to Fumba Village for your full day picnic on safari Blue where you will do snorkeling and sunbathing and if you have a lucky will see dolphin. You will enjoy delicious Seafood lunch, drinks, coffee, fruits and etc. are to be served during this special picnic full day excursion. After the Safari blue tour road drive to the east coast of the Island and check in at one of the best beach hotels (The Residence Zanzibar/equivalent). Get welcome drinks, check in, have swimming pool and beach relax before dinner and overnight.

Day 8: Transfer to Airport-fly to Dar es Salaam

Transfer back to Zanzibar airport to fly to Dar es Salaam and connect to international flights back to home.
